Alexis Amity is a graduate of The French Culinary Institute (now The International Culinary Center) in New York City. Before becoming a chef, she was a professional mixologist for many years with an extensive knowledge of Spirits, Beer & Wine.
While Chef Alexis attended culinary school in 2009, she was also an instructor at a prominent bartending school in New York City. She taught her students how to master the art of mixology, and how to pair wine and cocktails with food. In her spare time, she staged at top New York restaurants. Alexis has gained her technique and knowledge of all food and beverage aspects from the 20 years she has spent working in the food and beverage hospitality industry, beginning at age 12. Some of her past experience includes: The Bellagio, Caesars Place, The Palazzo, The Light Group, Angel Management, (formerly Pure Management) and BR Guest Hospitality.
“We felt too often the food at catered events we attended was dry, overcooked, grossly under seasoned and even inedible! We noticed a big problem in Vegas, and set out to be the solution. So we opened All About Catering.” Chef Alexis Amity
Destined to pursue greatness, Alexis started All About Catering with Kyle Sweany at the end of 2011 after losing her Father to suicide. She did not let that destroy her unique spirit, and she cooked an event just three days later for a family that requested her services for Christmas dinner. During her incredible Chef career, Chef Alexis has had to endure heartbreak, as so many of us do. She lost her Grandmother to Alzheimers in 2013 and is fighting for her Mother who was diagnosed with dementia/Alzheimers in 2010. Chef Alexis continues to rise as the Phoenix she is.
Since 2011, a lot has transpired to elevate Chef Alexis and Chef Kyle towards fame and success. Starting a catering company from nothing was no easy feat. But Kyle and Alexis accepted the challenge and dove in headfirst. They quickly put their mark on the Las Vegas Catering scene winning Best Wedding Caterer their first year in business! Since then, they have been published in books and magazines and attended radio show appearances. They continue to remain #1 online with real reviews and photos. A duo to be reckoned with nonetheless, they have remained a Las Vegas favorite for the 5 years they have been in business thus far, and have no plans being anything less.
Chef Alexis keeps herself busy pioneering new plant based selections and always finding new, innovative ways to evolve AACLV’s menus. A genuine Chef of the future! Taste the love yourself, and book with us today!
