Holidays are tough on chefs. Often the hours are spent prepping, preparing, and serving someone else’s family rather than their own friends and loved ones. Many of our staff are transplants from other states, so the ability to go home for Thanksgiving is rare. As a company, we will always be closed for either Christmas or Thanksgiving to help break this horrible hospitality trend.
Since 2013, Murray and Vivienne have hired AACLV for their annual Thanksgiving dinner in Spanish Trails. Although Murray has yet to adopt us, he and Vivienne are always such polite, inclusive, hospitable, and generous entertainers. Serving a plated sit-down Thanksgiving to their extended family and friends almost doesn’t feel like work, but home. We said almost Murray– there is still a bill!
